Computer networking systems such as routers, hubs and switches are the most curious thing for the common computer and network user. When the network is working smoothly, all the inner function are known to the average user too. But when there's some error or malfunction then it may affect the whole network functionality or stability. Then the normal user just isn't able to understand where and what could have gone wrong on the Industrial Network switch/communication. The various connecting components to connect Industrial Embedded Appliance are basically made up of the Ethernet connectors of sort RJ45, which have similar looks as that of our telephone plug and cable. However, these cables work differently from the simple telephone cables and it is worth understanding their functionality.

The network hardware or Industrial Network switch/communication works on the basis of standards, known as "open system connections" or OSI. In this standard, the definitions for the working or implementation of the communications over the networks. By adhering to these standards, the modules or devices created by different manufacturers can work with each other well. For the wireless network there are additional protocols or standards written which will permit all of the devices by different manufacturers can work in a single WiFi system.

A router is a devise utilized in Industrial Network switch/communication which may have variety of classification. Routers can be utilized in the Industrial Embedded Appliance to provide connectivity inside a small office with could also be fifty computers and some servers. At the same time they will connect offices at different locations, and sometimes businesses located in different cities and last but not the least the Internet, to get connected virtually anywhere in the world. The large form of router could be seen at ISP or Internet Service Provider; they use satellites to establish connections with other such router.

The modules in the network have more types and their functionality can overlap to a great extent in the environment of the Industrial Network switch/communication. Hub on the network can become more intelligent with the help of more features. WAN or Wireless Area Network has many things common with LAN but the additional security features makes it safer. Router on the high traffic or large network can have some sub-networks or routers referred to as as network switches. The robustness and the security turn out to be major concerns when the Industrial Embedded Appliance are attached to the high powered computers in the environment where the service is required 24 by 7 and that too with the same accuracy and speed.

In case of Industrial Embedded Appliance, there exists some lack of energy, may be at micro level. And it also present in case of the signal transmission over long distance from and to the appliances connected with Industrial Network switch/communication protocol. The concept of Greener technologies is on the rise with new advancements in this area of the industry. Some of the well-liked firms are creating technologies to deal with large servers to a small embedded component on the network.
