Knowing people appreciate our work makes our job easier. We all require the proverbial pat on the back. It's not to say that we can only function when we are admired, but work becomes lighter when our endeavors and skills are valued.

If you have staff members under your management, it's always better to give them heartening words than to find fault in everything that they do. Show your admiration to their hard work by giving them an appreciation plaque.

It is a perfect way to show that you are grateful for their endeavors, especially after a long and tough project that had kept everybody on their toes for weeks. It will show that you notice and encourage their efforts. An appreciation plaque promotes hard work as well.

And while a plaque is not as huge as a monetary bonus, it is a reward that lasts far longer. Monetary reward is fleeting. It is gone after a few hours of paying the bills or shopping for shoes. But naturally, everyone desires it. Routine earnings increment should be practiced in the workplace.

The management should express their admiration and gratitude in a tangible form such as a plaque. An employee needs a concrete evidence that he has done something right and he was acknowledged for it no matter what position he holds in the office. It also serves as his inspiration to continue the exceptional job that he is doing.

Plaques can also be displayed for everyone in the workplace to see or be taken home to be proudly shown to the staffer's family and friends. It can be a source of pride for the staffer, which is exactly what it should be.

Honor your worthy employees with plaques every quarter year. Appreciation and praise in the workplace should always be present. They simply help keep an optimistic attitude and make everyone work happier. Everyone would know that they are recognized and valued.
