Nurse Administrators work in senior facilities with aging adults. There are many instances when these professionals need learning for all ages courses to help educate themselves as well as their staff on how to deal with younger patients as well as older individuals. Depending upon the educational background of these workers they can be paid a very hefty amount.

Health care professionals who take these classes will have a better understanding of mental and physical needs of these younger aged individuals. People working in this type of field usually make anywhere from 25,000 to 100,000 dollars a year. Their salary will depend upon what type of degree they hold in the field. People with a Bachelor's degree and up are usually the higher paid professionals.

By no means is this career a get rich one. Most people work many of years before they are able to live comfortably at their salary. Many individuals go into this line of work because they have a love and passion to help aging adults. It is important to do your research thoroughly before committing to this line of work.

These managers of the aging senior facility have different types of job duties. Some of their daily duties are making sure the nursing staff is completing their assigned tasks, checking in on the housekeeping and dietary staff. Each one of these departments have their own supervisors, but the supervisors usually report directly to the administrator of the facility.

Their duties are not just limited to the nursing staff they will also have to ensure that direct activities such as housekeeping, clerical and maintenance are being operated smoothly. State rules and regulations have to be implemented and followed on a daily basis. It is their job to make sure everyone is following facility and state procedures at all times. Before becoming nursing working in the field it is important to understand what your responsibilities will include.

The health care manager deals with people on different levels every day of the week. They also have to interact with the family members of the patients. Family members have questions that often need answering about the type of care that their loved one is receiving. It is completely up to the administrator to make the family member feel safe with the quality of care being given.

People who enjoy working in a business environment and caring for the elderly will succeed in this field. The job is not a prestigious one that consists of business trips or fancy luncheons, but the reward is helping the elderly community with a safe environment to call home. It is a job that you will have to have compassion for your fellow man.

Learning for all ages classes is important for nursing staff when working in aging communities. Each worker need these classes in order to be able to better interact and communicate with the residents. There are many times that younger residents will be put in the home and will have extra attention and reassurance while in the home, trained staff members will know how to deal with them.
