So you find yourself having to replace your old heating oil tank. Chances are, it is a single skin tank, meaning that it is a typical, single layered hollow model. For that reason, chances are also that you are replacing your oil tanks because they split!

Professional cleaners focused on helping industrial and manufacturing businesses offer many useful services. These may range from tank cleaning, mold remediation, waste disposal, and oil tank removal.

There are also different types of fuel reservoirs, single skin and bunded which have two layers and are effectively a container inside a container, which removes the danger of fuel seepage, with a second area to catch any spillage. There are some reasons you'll need a bunded heating fuel tank, which is significantly more expensive than single skin. If for example, you need a tank capacity of 2,500 liters you must have a bunded tank.

So what exactly is a bund? A bund is a secondary containment system. When the term is applied to a heating fuel tank, it means that it consists of a tank within a tank design. The inner tank acts as your primary fuel storage container, while the outer acts as a protective layer and is capable of containing fuel in the event of the inner layer being damaged or splitting. This prevents the fuel from leaking into its surrounding environment and ensures that it does not contaminate nearby water supplies or landscapes.

This Assessment will ensure that the installation of the tank meets the Environmental Planning Regulations which cover a range of issues from pollution to noise and energy efficiency to odor and protection of land.

Other than liquid and fuel waste, electronic waste (also called e-waste), should also be recycled properly. These include monitors and other computer equipment, batteries, printers, audio-visual equipment, and any other bulky electronic devices. Most cleaning companies have recycling centers specifically created for this type of waste.

Inspect the tank for rust, corrosion or physical damage - Visually inspect your tank for any clear signs of damage that could result in weakened areas and possible leakages. Internal rusting or corrosion can easily result in a leak as these areas are weaker than the rest of the tank and could leak due to the pressure.

A clean workplace is an efficient workplace. Make sure your custodial team disposes all your factory's waste products properly, or hire a professional cleaning and mold remediation company to do it for you. This will make sure that you maintain a clean working space as well as assure you abide by environmental laws that you may not be aware of hence killing two birds with a stone.
