EN coating is a technique done by adding a thin layer of nickel onto the metal object. For business owners you might want your metals to undergo the process of electroless nickel coating MI. By doing this your metals will now be resistant to wear and tear, enhance corrosion, and it can even harden the surface. What is good with this is you do not have to use electric current anymore.

The advantages you get from includes the ability to coat uniformly and flexibility to control coating thickness would be greater. However, this process is complex requiring you precise and proper execution. Provided below are tips that you can use to prevent issues that commonly appear during troubleshooting and to maximize its performance.

Do some preparation. As for the preparation, have the metals chemically pretreated. When you are done, rinse it out with water. Make sure that you do it thoroughly. To condition the surface, apply mechanical finishing. These are the preparation that you have to make. Do this before you undergo the coating.

Two, water purification. It cannot be avoided that the water will have impurities after the results of plating. Before you start the process, the water must be purified and should not have any foreign matters. Not doing this could lead to poor results at the end of the day which of course you would not want to happen.

Third, know your tank. There is the part where it gets crucial. You see you cannot just use any tanks. You are gonna putting EN bath on those you need to select which one would be best. But if you are asking which of the two would last longer that is going to be the stainless steel. Another type that you may use is the polypropylene which will prevent plate outs from happening.

Filter out the baths as often as needed. Insoluble materials are present on plating baths, which is something you have to remove. In order to do that, filter it until all insoluble are remove. Expert says you need to do filtration at least four or five times a day in every hour.

Five, control the temperature. You have to monitor the temperature of the plating bath all throughout the whole process. That is because, when the temperature is too high, decomposition could speed up and if it is the opposite, the process will go beyond the accepted level which might prevent coating deposition from happening.

Test your solution every once in a while. It is given that sometimes the actions you will do is not perfect. Since you need to add the right amount of chemical, make sure that the solution will be tested always. Just add a little amount and only add when it is not the right amount. Just add until its balanced.

Seventh, do some post treatment. Stain and harmful conditions are two of the things that will happen if you do not implement post treatment. Harmful conditions can be eliminated by simply baking the plating. This step needs to be done and should not be skipped. Do all these and everything will be okay.
