Over the past year or so, World Wrestling Entertainment has displayed the effectiveness of the Shield. These days, they serve as corporate security guards for the Authority lead by the husband and wife duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. However, the Shield may see competition in this regard, seeing as how the Wyatt Family has proven itself in recent times. As far as shifting the Shield and the Wyatts around, I have a couple of things to say because there are reasons why I do and do not favor it.
When you look at the entirety of the Wyatt Family, does it look like anything one could consider with security of any type? Personally, based on the appearance of the family in question, I would have ever considered them, even for a moment, as possible corporate security guards. After all, the leader in Bray Wyatt seems to possess more of a horror movie-like appearance than anything that can be linked to a company with a high reputation. There would be a desire for more reputable choices linked to various authorities, the Protective Group included.
On the other hand, maybe this particular shift could prove to be the most effective choice for the Authority. The Shield, in recent times, has not exactly had the most success as far as their matches have been concerned. One can chalk this up to dissension within the group, given the fact that Dean Ambrose is the only champion in this band of three men. With this in mind, the group may not be able to work nearly as well as it would have otherwise.
I think that, considering the Shield's shoddy success these days, the Authority would be better off selecting another group. Yes, the Shield has always been known as the group that can work well with the numbers game on its side. This is something that very few will be able to dispute but why should a group of three trained men find themselves overwhelmed by a sole individual? This could be all of the reason the Authority needs in order to make a change in their ranks.
Seeing as the Authority is a wrestling group that is far more corporate in comparison to others, it goes without saying that certain groups are going to be included above others. The Shield, for a few months, has served as the corporate security guards for the Authority but has slipped since that time. When a group starts to falter, perhaps the addition of a new group is needed. In the world of wrestling as we know it today, there is arguably no group more dynamic than the Wyatt Family.
