I am a lover of animals. Although I don't consider myself as a passionate advocate. I just enjoy watching them frolic and have fun in their natural habitat. Just seeing them makes me happy. I just enjoy seeing them so free and carefree. And when I was presented with a safari adventure opportunity, I didn't let it pass. We decided to bring our cars for our convenience considering car shipping to Zimbabwe is fairly easy and uncomplicated.

I looked at the map and I found out that Zimbabwe is in Africa. It is bordered by Zambia in the northwest, Mozambique in the east, South Africa in the south and by Botswana in the southwest. Harare is the capital of the country and is nicknamed Sunshine City. I was just very fortunate for us that shipping cars to Harare was fairly easy, we were able to bring our cars with us. One other convenience of going to Zimbabwe is the country's currency, the US dollars.

Our safari adventure begins at the Hwange National Park. This is Zimbabwe's largest game reserve. Before it became known as the Hwange National Park, it was called the Wankie Game Reserve. This park is near the majestic Victoria Falls. This park covers an area of 14,651 sq. kilometers and was established as a game reserve in 1928. But in 1961, it was recognised as a national park. Tourists seek this park out as it is easy to get to. There's also a lot of animals to see. I specially liked the moment when I saw a herd of elephants. Our guide said that the Hwange park has the largest herds of elephants in the worlds. It's a good thing that we chose Hwange National Park to take our safari because there's a lot of animals to see and viewing was very good during our stay.

Our guide was friendly and we were able to comprehend each other. During our conversation, I learned that lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses are classified as the big five. He was very proud of the park because it holds all the protected animals of his beloved country. Also, the park features more than 100 mammal species and nearly 400 bird species.

The Hwange National Park has three distinctive camps. The largest is Main Camp. It can be found in the main entrance of the park. There are lots of waterholes and pans very near the Main Camp. Nyamandhlovu Platform is a pumped water hole and is a good place to observe the animals. Another place of awareness near the Main Camp is Dom waterhole. One can get a stunning view of the African Sunset. Sinamatella is another camp near the northern border of the park. This camp was a former cattle ranch and is named after a plant which will lodge in clothes after rubbing against it. Sinamatella Camp is accepted as an Intensive Protection Zone. One more camp is Robins Camp. This region was bequeathed to the government by Harold Robins in 1939.
