A profit center is the subunit of a company or organization, whose responsibility is to deal with certain financial and non-financial performance measures. In relation to accounting, it is a responsibility center. This means that it may be seen as a distinct entity within the larger organization. The person in charge of this unit is known as the profit centre manager.

The role of this Manager is to account for all revenues and expenses that have been made in the business.
