The process of electro less nickel plating basically produces phosphorous coating, this coating usually prevents corrosion as well as preventing any possible tears and more often to improve on the strength of surface. The entire process basically uses chemical reaction and therefore introduction of electric current is unnecessary. Most of the advantages associated with nickel coatings include achievement of a uniform coat on the substrate surface, flexibility based on control of coat is also achieved through this process.

This metal basically prevents corrosion. But most of these metallic parts are well lubed in such a way that corrosion is not a big problem. It actually minimizes friction but this assumes that even those unseen items are plated using the same material. When two metallic parts which are not lubricated come in touch with each other, friction is built.

This mechanical finishing involves abrasive blasting together with shot peening. The degree of purity of water used in this process also requires keen consideration. This is due to the fact that water with impurities when used in the EN bath actually gives out undesirable results. It is therefore extremely important to clean water from all possible metal ions, particulates as well as other foreign particles.

This products has also been effectively used in aerospace. This does not mean that the process in only applicable in engine components only. The plating process using this kind of product is also applicable in the protecting the airframe components. These components include ramp rocking, flap and actuator not forgetting landing gear components. The process protects these systems from possible wear and tear.

It also necessary to control temperatures when coordinating this plating process. Higher temperature can lead to increase speed of decomposition of the solution in the bath. Too low temperatures on the other hand can lead to longer time in decomposition process or even causing the solution not to decompose at all. An effective EN plating basically demands continuous testing of the solution.

It becomes extremely important to choose coating which basically would relieve you from stress. This type of metal is mostly preferred as it is hard with its tensile strength. This material also releases the owner of the item stresses of treatment. The nickel phosphorous coating is actually produced through electro less plating process. This is mostly used to improve the hardness of material being plated therefore minimizing wear and corrosion.

This process involves removal of the excess hydrogen through post plating baking. The condition is can also be corrected through the use of post treatment chromate. The problem can also be solved using other various methods which includes cleaning the item mechanically instead of electro cleaning. Heated alkaline cleaners can also be used.

In order to achieve the desired results without much problems, part preparation is basically needed. This preparation is basically through treatment of the parts to be coated in order to remove any contaminants on the surface. Other mechanical processes such as abrasive blasting or even shot peening is extremely important so as to improve the condition of the surface substrate. Considering the purity of water is also important consideration. Impurities in water can actually lead to undesirable results.
