Sony Ericsson have developed a new mobile phone which will cause such as storm that the iphone will seem a million miles away. The Xperia Play handset looks just like the current Sony PSP Go with a slide multi touch screen boasting four inches corner to corner.

The OS running the Xperia Play handset is Android 2.3 the main applications running from PlayStation Pocket, but as yet there are no signs of apps or content which is no surprise as Sony will be keeping things well hidden until the official release date.

The mobile providers are scrambling over each other to try get their hands on this new must have phone, Orange has been rumoured to be one of the suppliers and we can only guess about the others but O2 will more than likely be in their with a chance. Consumers are asking the question as well as gamers, what will the price tag be both on contract and off contract.

Contract deals for many would be the preferred option because this means the handset is heavily subsidised, but nevertheless you will see an upfront cost just like the iPhone as Sony know this is a very demanded phone.

Off contract prices which are being thrown around the rumour mills are varying from three hundred and fifty pounds to five hundred pounds, this is the reason most people will opt for the on contract deals.

What exactly games are we able to expect for that new Xperia Play handset? Wellness a Sony bred phone don't be surprised the best selling older games being remade for that Android system, in addition to already a large number of new games being designed because the game developers heard bout the telephone this past year.

Will this function as the iPhone killer phone? Only time will inform however in our opinion this new release from Sony is appropriate available online for and ready for that fight.
