Personal storage facilities provide different storage equipment depending on your storage space requirements and your apportioned budget. Given these options, you avoid wasting money by renting the correct space size. The price for storage space is per square footage, so you can really budget according to your needs. Here are regular storage equipment that serve up a lot of purposes.

Your wedding video, the high-priced fur french coat, and even your last will and other crucial legal documents can be safely stored in shelves, which is a traditional storage equipment.

Another manner to store your valuables safely is by putting them on carton boxes which are part of the carton live storage automated system. Your valuables are kept in dry cartons which are set on a conveyor belt for ready access, in cases where you need to find something in the box.

There are, however, a directory of items that will not be accepted by a storage facility for reasons of safety and security. These restrictions are drawn up for purposes of safety, not only of your own but also of the other tenants, the warehouse facility's staff and personnel, the warehouse building, and of other establishments in the nearby surroundings.

If you are planning on renting out a self storage unit for holding some of your personal belongings, you must be aware what objects could be stored in a personal warehouse and what items are not allowed. So as to be informed better, ask the manager of the warehouse facility you are renting if they have any rules about stuff prohibited for storage. For your reference, here is a list several objects and goods that are not allowed inside a self storage facility.

Objects that are categorized as inherently dangerous should not be kept in a personal storage unit. Kerosene lamps, motor oil, grease, fertilizers, paint, biological wastes, and/or items or substances that are combustible, biohazardous, toxic, or flammable are some examples of items, substances, and/or materials belonging to this class. Furthermore, following the rules of the authorities, stolen goods, illegal narcotics, contraband and smuggled goods must not be kept in self storage. These items would stand as evidence against a tenant if he or she is apprehended.

Some warehouses may have freezer units that can accommodate perishable items. Generally speaking, however, perishable goods and animal products are prohibited from being kept in a personal warehouse facility. These goods could spoil and attract pests and/or harmful insects. Thus, to avoid being the cause of trouble or being mortified, it would do well for you to confer with the warehouse facility managers when you plan to place items in your personal warehouse.
