If you have ever launched a product with no testimonials, then you know how hard it is. The real test for you comes when you have customers but no testimonials. We know you need testimonials, so to that end here is what you can do - plain, simple and not hard at all.

A case study of successful customers is your ticket with this approach, and we will explain. All you will do is assess the experiences of these customers, and then prepare a report. In fact, you can gain much more information from effective and thorough case studies than simple testimonials. When you think about it, all visitors want to know as much as possible about user experiences. If you look around, you'll notice that many big companies have a section on their site which highlights the case study of a few of their good customers. Your site visitors will be able to read all the in-depth information and draw their own conclusions.

The most powerful form of testimonial makes use of video. People have been in love with video for years, and that is the simple reason for this. Persuasion becomes a lot more easier with a video, where you don't have to struggle to convince your prospects about what you offer. Video testimonials create a more real and sincere atmosphere in the minds of those who watch them. Most sites do not take advantage of video testimonials, so there is still a novelty aspect to them. Just make sure that you include more than one video testimonial on your site, but don't make it too long. A video that is about a minute or two at the most will have the best effect on people. You do realize that videos command higher prices when used in products, and part of that reason is why video testimonials are better.

Before you contact anyone for their permission, be sure you have your approach figured out. It all depends on your approach, with most people, and you will find that many like talking about themselves. You need to talk to people candidly but also in a way that will not make them nervous.

When ever you gain a new customer, be sure to allow time but do ask for feedback.
